Lorenzo unconcerned by Pedrosa pace

Jorge Lorenzo BrnoMotoGP championship leader Jorge Lorenzo says title rival Dani Pedrosa’s pace in Friday practice at Brno does not concern him.

Pedrosa, who won at Indianapolis last weekend to reduce Lorenzo’s championship cushion to 18 points, was fastest in both practice sessions in the Czech Republic.

Lorenzo was second and confident that he would be able to battle with Pedrosa this weekend.

“I’m quite satisfied overall,” said the Yamaha rider. “We are there with Dani fighting for the best laptime every practice which is good.”

He added: “Today was much better than Indianapolis, we tried to improve the bike but we still need to find some solutions for more grip in the corners.”

Lorenzo had a fall during the afternoon, but played the incident down.

“I had a small crash in a slow corner,” he said. “I tried to lean a little more and found the limit of the grip.”
