New team Swan Racing will enter the NASCAR Sprint Cup next year with a single-car entry for David Stremme.
Swan, which is owned by businessman Brandon Davis, bought the assets of Inception Racing earlier this year.
It has now confirmed that it will run a full-time programme for Stremme’s #30 Toyota in the 2013 season.
“Swan Racing is here to race competitively every week. The days of starting and parking are over,” Davis said.
“I am confident that we are putting together the personnel to one day produce a championship contender.”
Steve Hmiel, who was Terry Labonte’s crew chief in his title-winning Cup campaign of 1984, and who also won races performing the same role for Mark Martin and Dale Earnhardt Jr, will act as the squad’s director of competition.
